Frequently Asked Questions
What are bells made of?Our bells are cast from eminent bell bronze with a 4:1 ratio of copper to tin. Each bell is tuned to pitch accuracy using cutting-edge technology, producing tone and resonance of the highest quality.
Do you have bells on stock? No, we do not keep bells in stock as they are made to order from the Netherlands. The bells we have are only for demonstration purposes and are not for sale.
If we order a bell for our parish, how long will it take to be delivered? Our shipments are scheduled to arrive every March, July, and November of the year. Orders should be placed at least 8 months prior to be included in the shipment. Currently, we have a quota of 6 orders per shipment. If the quota is met before the deadline for orders, all subsequent orders will be scheduled for a new shipment at a later date.
How long will the bells last?Bells can last for centuries with proper use, care and regular maintenance. We do, however, offer a 10-year warranty on casting and/or manufacturing failures and two (2) years on electrical equipment supplied by us.
Repair & Preventive Maintenance Service is free of charge* for the first two (2) years from the date of installation.
Do you repair/restore damaged bells? There is currently no facility in the country that will allow us to conduct repairs on damaged bells. The only way to do this is to send the bells to our foundry in the Netherlands. Please contact us for more information.
How do we know if our existing bell/s can be rehabilitated?Old bells can be rehabilitated as long as they remain in good condition. A good way to determine this is the duration of a bell’s ringing. We recommend that a bell’s ringing should resonate for at least 6 seconds, and it must have no dents, cracks and other physical defects to be considered for rehabilitation.
